About KAS Cambodia

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Cambodia (KAS) is the political think tank associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). As a CDU co-founder and the first chancellor of the Federal Republic Democratic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer united the Christian social conservative and liberal traditions. His name is synonymous with the democratic reconstruction of Germany, the firm alignment of foreign policy with the trans-Atlantic community of values, the vision of a unified Europe, and an orientation towards the social market economy. His intellectual heritage continues to serve both as our aim as well as our obligation today. KAS has been working in Cambodia since 1994. Today KAS has introduced our new objectives, which are Global Affairs and Governance, Sustainability Economy and Innovation, and Media and Society. The foundation will continue supporting Cambodian development under the new objectives. The programs within the organization are implemented closely with diverse partners coming from national as well as sub-national levels.
